Winter Newsletter: Fall in love with Caffe Unimatic

Dearest Coffee Lovers,

It’s been a while since our last correspondence, but in that time we’ve been hard at work helping coffee lovers everywhere find their soul mate in Caffe Unimatic – just call us Cupid! After a fantastic year, we have so much to share with you, and in the spirit of the holiday, here’s what we LOVED most about 2013:

Coffee Fuels Design
Check us out – we got a makeover! Our new site not only features our pot and delicious blend, San Pietro Brunetta, but also tells our story, describes a cause that’s very close to our heart and shares some of the Unimatic family photos that you’ve submitted! #shessophotogenic …And, of course, our awesome designer Dan and his entire team at Expand the Room are now #hookedonbrunetta!

Lessons Learned
We learned that 70 lbs. of coffee does NOT fit in a Fiat. Why do we love this? Because that was just one week’s worth of coffee orders in December! If it’s been awhile since San Pietro Brunetta has graced your shelves, get reacquainted. Rumor has it she’s soon to be joined by another Caffe Unimatic original blend, so stay tuned!

Social Butterfly
Our social calendar has been overflowing these days, some of our favorite features in 2013 were:
– The Just Peace Summit with the folks from Three Dot Dash. We had dinner with some of the world’s most impressive teens and chatted about the magic of sharing stories – and then shared ours with a Unimatic perking in the background, of course!
– We served coffee in the legendary MSR Studios (think Beyonce, Paul McCartney, Madonna…) at Matteo Setti’s “Made In Italy” launch party. Discovered by Pavarotti, this Italian born crooner will certainly make you fall in love.
– We hosted our very first private coffee tasting at Trattoria Dell’Arte in Manhattan. It was such a hit, we think we’re going to have to do it more often!
– Last but certainly not least, Caffe Unimatic was featured in Robert Galinsky’s new book, “Coffee Crazy!” and we couldn’t be more excited. We’ve been touring with the book’s launch, serving our blend and inspiring coffee lovers from all over New York City with our story. Caught on camera here, check us out!

After all this however, the one thing we can’t stop bragging about has nothing to do with where we’ve been or  what we’ve accomplished… our favorite part of 2013 was, hands down, our intern! Miss Ellen Huffman is nothing short of a rock star and we love her to bits!

We’ve had our heads down diligently laying the foundation for a fantastic 2014. While we make magic happen, share the love this Valentine’s Day and spoil someone (or yourself!) with great coffee or a rare, vintage percolator… so much better than sending flowers!

always,

Elisabeth

What the Unimatic family is saying…

"The Unimatic changed my life. I somehow found an extra 20 minutes in my morning to perk my coffee and as a result, I’m more grounded, creative, productive and happy. The Unimatic is my daily miracle."

- Greg, family member of Unimatic #41

"It’s the coolest coffee pot in the world."

- Trevor, family member of Unimatic #50

"Thank you so much, I happened to see the program on Netflix called Coffee for All. As you refer to my net coffee pot as a "her" she will be appropriately named "Grace" after my grandmother who gave me my first percolator coffee pot at the age of 18. Now as I brew coffee in the mornings I will think of my grandparents more often."

- Joe, family member of Unimatic #392

"I am truly happy with the Unimatic. A perfect cup of coffee and the story that goes with it even makes it more enjoyable."

- David, family member of Unimatic #418

Thank you dearest Elisabeth for being the much needed catalyst for change. For sharing your remedy for our home life that has been suspended after much trial and trauma. We laughed, shared, marveled and lingered the table discussing your father’s creation. We spent time together as a family, enjoying the newness of what is usually the mundane. Creating your shared legacy... a cup of coffee. The Unimatic made our house a home... long gone are the quick days of the Keurig or nearest coffee shop. We look forward to spending tomorrow morning with Brunetta.

- Monica, family member of Unimatic #329
