When a dear Dad, husband and Captain in the US Army wrote to us wanting to spoil his dear wife, we couldn't help but conspire with him to give her the perfect Valentine's Day gift :)
It started when we received a note in early 2019, here's part of it:
"I have recently returned from yet another deployment and would very much like to surprise my wife with a Unimatic. She has sacrificed time and time again in support of my career and caring for our four kiddos while I spend months and years away from the family. My wife and I always begin our days with a cup of coffee together and I would like to enhance, and create greater lasting memories and conversations, with this new addition… I cannot wait to enhance our mornings and introduce our kiddos to the importance and significance of morning rituals and the lifelong impacts they offer.”
Knowing that our little Unimatic is a symbol of this family having coffee "together" while he's away makes our hearts skip a beat.
Here’s the note I received when he surprised Leslie (he couldn’t wait for Valentine’s Day)!!

#imnotcryingyourecrying… Seriously, not a dry eye in the room when I read this aloud. To know that we have an impact like this on the families that we serve means everything. This is the reason why we chose not to go after big contracts or wholesale accounts, we wanted to focus on families, moments. It seemed like a counter-intuitive move, because it would mean we grew MUCH more slowly, but that always felt like the only true option. We pride ourselves in serving humans and impacting our #unimaticfam deeply. Our hope is that you all spread the word - family to family - with us, rather than us trying to scale for scaling sake. We love notes and stories like these and want to know every single one of them! We want to work our tails off to have an impact like the one above on as many families as possible...
We think of it this way, if we're all put on this earth for a reason, and some part of that reason is to spread love in the way that only we can, I'm pretty sure that for us - we serve through coffee... The late Ram Dass summed up what we feel quite well, “we’re all just walking each other home.”
Thank you Randy, for your service, for taking the time to share this with us, and for showing us what it looks like for two people to embody love and elevate the little moments in life, because in reality, those moments, those are the big ones :)
